SERDANG: Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said his ministry is looking into reports which claim there are companies involved in data accumulation activities and the issuance of data documentation cards for foreigners. Muhyiddin was commenting on a statement issued by his ministry, which said it had lodged a police report to deny its involvement in any data accumulation activities as well as the issuance of data documentation cards for foreigners. The ministry said it never appointed Mega Management Consultancy Sdn Bhd to conduct the process of data documentation gathering of foreign workers, foreigners or any individuals facing citizenship issues in Sabah. The Home Ministry said it has also received information on the activities of several companies and associations which are gathering information, registering and issuing documentation to foreigners, especially illegal immigrants. “We have known over the last few years that Malaysia has become a transit point linked to several terror groups.
