Home Minister: Myanmar did not agree to Bangladesh’s 10-point proposal

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the government is still in dialogue with Myanmar about the repatriation of the Rohingya refugees. The Myanmar government has not agreed to the 10-point proposals put forth by Bangladesh, Kamal told reporters at an event on Friday afternoon. Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali is scheduled to visit Myanmar on November 30, Khan said. “I met with Myanmar’s State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, home minister and deputy home minister. Kamal told Suu Kyi that unless Rohingyas are repatriated, they could get involved in terrorist activities which would not be a good situation for either of the countries.
