Holyport FC are putting the foundations in place to ‘progress and develop’ after the club’s promotion to a new Combined Counties Division was confirmed by the FA last month. It’s now been confirmed that Port will play alongside the likes of Windsor and Burnham in a newly formed Combined Counties Premier Division North league after being moved out of Hellenic League Division 1 East following a country-wide restructure of steps 4-6. Basingstoke Town and Bracknell Town in the Isthmian League South Central Division. “We have a lot more games next season and whilst we could compete against step 5 clubs in one-off games, doing it for 38-40 league games is another story. “The club is putting in the foundations to give the players the best opportunity to progress and develop, it’s going to be a fun challenge.”
