Holy Trinity sends $300 to Catholic schools hit by hurricanes

LACONIA — Holy Trinity Catholic School, in keeping with the mission to serve others, collected funds during a Jean Day on Sept. 22, to help Catholic schools impacted by the hurricane to rebuild, reopen and re-enroll students. This Catholic School response is a powerful opportunity to engage students in living the Gospel message of compassionate service and generosity to others. After collecting the Jean Day money, Holy Trinity sent a $300 check to the National Catholic Educational Association, where 100 percent of the money collected was distributed to dioceses in the affected areas for their Catholic Schools in vital need of support. Principal Mary Jane Cooney said, “A hallmark of the Catholic tradition is a concern for and service to others, and Holy Trinity students, faculty and staff embrace opportunities such as this to exemplify the Christian way of life. I am very proud of our students and families for their compassion and generosity.”
