It will be the fourth record year in the five years since Avocados from Mexico ran its first Super Bowl ad in 2015. Using data through November, I projected the totals for December, since the annual data for 2019 won’t be released for a few days yet. I’m pretty sure there aren’t too many Americans — and certainly no football fans — who would botch the Jeopardy question: “This fruit has been advertised during the last six Super Bowl.”
