Major League Baseball has selected the teams to fulfill its two-year contract to play regular-season games in London even before the Red Sox and play the Yankees play the first regular-season games in Europe. As first reported by USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Cubs and Cardinals will play in London next June. MLB has played regular-season games in Japan, Australia and Mexico. The Red Sox and Yankees will play there June 29-30 as part of a two-year contract that was announced last May. The Red Sox gave up two home games at Fenway Park to facilitate the move of those games.
