HOLLIS MITCHELL, JR. “Uncle Lute” Gary, Indiana Hollis Jr. was born on July 22, 1932, to Hollis Sr. & Jennie Lou Mitchell. He accepted Christ as his personal savior and was a member of St. Andrew A.M.E. Zion Church. Hollis Jr., affectionately known to everyone as Uncle Lute, was a kind hearted person who was always there when a helping hand was needed. Hollis Jr. made his transition from this earthly world to his heavenly home on Oct. 14, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Sr. and Jennie Lou Mitchell, sister, Charlie Mae Smith, nephew, Darryl Kelly, niece, Vernita Reddix, and cousin, Juanita Alexander.
