Motorists heading away for their summer holidays have been hampered by a lack of fuel at many petrol stations. There were reported shortages at Z outlets across Auckland: Riverhead, Kumeu and Oteha Valley Rd ran out of at least one type of fuel. Fuel companies usually planned for extra fuel demand over Christmas, he said, and did not normally run out of gas.
