Passengers had to wait for hours after the Monarch Airlines flight bound for Birmingham in the United Kingdom from Tenerife in the Canary Islands turned back. A passenger told ITV News a man doused his hands with lighter fluid, set himself on fire, and tried to ignite the lighter in a hostess' face. "A passenger was setting fire to his own hands, so the stewardess asked the passenger for the lighter for the duration of the flight.
