MALACCA: Holes have emerged in the police report of a 32-year-old Thai masseuse who claimed that an Immigration Department officer raped her at the Machap Umboo detention centre in Alor Gajah. It is learnt that investigation officers are probing every angle after the masseuse provided conflicting details on Wednesday night. He said it was premature for him to say if the report was lodged in bad faith and aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the immigration officer. "We will lodge a police report on behalf of the Immigration Department if it turns out to be a false report," he said. Legal action must also be taken if any attempt was made to tarnish the Immigration Department," he said after chairing the weekly Exco meeting.
