Hogwash: Swine meets watery end after leading locals on wild pig chaseGlenn Laker WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: A wild boar has drowned after running through the east Auckland town of Maraetai. The wild boar was first spotted sprinting down Maraetai School Rd in Maraetai, east Auckland, before 8am on Friday. Local Justin Irvine had just pulled into the Maraetai Bakery when he saw the swine. Another local, Glenn Laker, posted a video of what appeared to be a boar swimming in the water about 150 metres off the beach. As of 9am, the police hadn't received any reports of a wild boar in Maraetai, a spokesperson said.
