A hockey dad who got into a scuffle on the bench with his son’s coach at a minor hockey game earlier this month is facing an “indefinite suspension” from all team activities, the league’s director said Wednesday. That means he’ll be banned from Waterloo arenas and those across Southwestern Ontario where the Waterloo Wolves minor midget team may play, Alliance Hockey executive director Tony Martindale told The Free Press. “Waterloo (Minor Hockey Association) has issued it, and then we’ve followed up. Alliance Hockey oversees minor hockey associations across Southwestern Ontario, including those in Waterloo and the London region. Martindale confirmed Alliance Hockey is continuing to work with police to address the altercation.
