The Toronto Maple Leafs will need to do more Wednesday night against Chicago than rebound from one of their worst games of the season. Toronto Maple Leafs wing Kasperi Kapanen will miss Wednesday’s clash with the Chicago Blackhawks due to a concussion. “He’s (Kapanen) got great speed, he has a tremendous work ethic, he’s on the penalty kill … so it affects you,” Leafs coach Mike Babcock said about losing Kapanen. Kapanen was playing with (Auston Matthews), now Willy (William Nylander) is, so grab the opportunity and keep playing.” Nylander was indeed on Matthews’ line with Andreas Johnsson at the morning skate. Duszak is expected to join the Toronto Marlies later this week on an AHL try-out basis.
