Calgary Hitmen defenceman Egor Zamula got the call to play for Team Russia for the two-game WHL stop of the 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series. Zamula is off to a fast start with at least a point in all nine games this season to sit tied for the team lead in scoring. His 13 points, including four goals, tops all WHL blueliners, while his plus-15 rating is a league best. The 19-year-old Philadelphia Flyers prospect is in his third WHL season after being claimed by the Hitmen off WHL Import Waivers from the Regina Pats on January 9, 2018. Zamula will join fellow Hitmen teammates Carson Focht and Jett Woo in the series with both players named to Team WHL last week.
