Happily, the traffic was uncharacteristically light the other day and so here's the Piarere Agricultural School, which is not in fact a school these days. The school building was enlarged in 1919 and the teacher's house apparently built at the same time. The Archway website of Archives New Zealand provides access to a wealth of material for Piarere School, including daily attendance registers for every year from 1918 until 1978. The former Piarere School building, another classroom block and the teacher's house next door form a historic cluster about 700 metres north of the post-World War II Piarere Hall.
