The decision has not been well received by members of the theatre and artist fraternity including those within the Punjab Arts Council. “We are are opposed of the idea of the construction of an underground water storage tank near a hill. The whole department is against it,” a senior official of Punjab Council of Arts said while seeking anonymity. As such big names of Punjab Arts Council, Walled City Authority, Parking and Horticulture Authority and WASA have their financial interest in it. If everything checkout, we have no objection to the construction,” said Abrar Alam Sahib Director Operation Punjab Arts Council.
