Historic Maryland Town Hit by a Second Devastating Flood Since 2016


A second major flash flood to hit Ellicott, Md., in two years on Sunday left businesses once again devastated and a 39-year-old National Guardsman from Maryland missing. The Howard County Police Department said Eddison Alexander Hermond, of nearby Severn, Md., was reported missing about 12:30 a.m. ET Monday and was last seen along the historic community’s Main Street on Sunday afternoon.
