Terming the historic six-point demand a milestone in the country’s long struggle for independence, he said through the six-point demand, Bangabandhu presented East Bengal’s: political, economic, social, and cultural interests. “The historic movement for the six-point demand, declared by greatest Bengali of all time—Bangabandhu—took an important turn on June 7, 1966,” said the prime minister.
