Hisham hopes for thorough investigation in former aide's graft charge - Nation

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein (pic) wants a thorough investigation into the graft charges levied against his former aide so that there are no scapegoats in the case. The Defence Minister said he would let the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission carry out due process in order to prove the truth. At the Shah Alam Sessions Court earlier Thursday, Hishammuddin’s former special officer, Zailan Johari, 47, pleaded not guilty to a charge of bribery involving RM80,000. The minister said that no one was exempt from being investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, including himself. He revealed that Zailan had worked for him from his time as Home Minister and acting Transport Minister.
