KOLKATA: Hindustan Zinc is set to commission two new mills in Rajasthan at an investment of Rs 600 crore. While Zawar’s current ore treatment capacity is 2.5 mt, the setting up of new mill will raise its capacity to 4 mt, HZL said in a statement. The ore production at Sindesar Khurd mine too is being expanded from the current capacity of 4.5 mt to 6 mt. Incidentally, Sindesar Khurd mine, the most mechanized mine in India, is known for its silver production. With an additional 3 mt of ore treatment capacity, we would be able to increase substantial volume of metal.
