by INP , (Last Updated about 1 hour ago)MULTAN: Former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday refuted reports that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned her and her father in connection with a probe into assets beyond means case. Hina Rabbani was reportedly summoned in pursuance of a complaint against her for allegedly amassing illegal assets, committing fraud and misusing her powers during her stint as minister. It is noteworthy that Hina Rabbani was among politicians against whom NAB Chairman (r) Justice Javed Iqbal had approved inquiries in a meeting of the executive board of the bureau in February. The NAB board had approved 13 inquiries against prominent politicians and bureaucrats including Khar, PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, and former chairman Auqaf Siddiqul Farooq. The NAB board had also approved inquiry against former secretary communications Shahid Ashraf Tarar and other prominent persons.
