New opportunity for short story writers from BangladeshThe 2019 Himal Short Story Competition is open for submissions till November 24, 2019. The free to enter competition accepts unpublished English short stories from writers who consider themselves or their “stories to be Southasian”. “The story may have been published previously in its original language but must not have been previously published in an English translation,” the announcement says. The shortlist and the winner will be selected in-house by editors of Himal Southasian and will be announced by December 15, 2019. Now based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Himal is South Asia’s first and only regional news and analysis magazine.
