The village located in Lahaul district is one of the worst COVID-19 affected districts in terms of population ration in the state. The tourists are not been allowed into Lahaul village as it has been turned into containment zones. The villagers volunteered themself to get tested, and 41 out of 42 residents of the village turned out to be COVID-19 positive. There has been a spike in COVID-19 cases in Lahaul Spiti villages as 856 people were found out to be COVID-19 positive. Himachal Pradesh has 7059 active COVID-19 cases, with 501 deaths.
