Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. plans to open more luxury hotels globally this year as it tries to catch up to its competitors in the growing luxury-travel market. Major hotel brands such as Hilton are expanding their luxury hotel offerings, which range in cost from a few hundred dollars a night to thousands of dollars, to lure business travelers, loyalty members and the wealthy, particularly those from China, with lavish stays.
