The Hilton Hotels & Resorts Group, which is expanding and enhancing its presence in Morocco, will build a new hotel in Rabat, capital of the North African Kingdom. The 150-room Hilton Rabat, to open in 2022, will be part of the city’s Wessal Bouregreg project. The new Hilton will be located in the heart of the Cultural Plaza of the Wessal Bouregreg development, near new facilities, including a shopping mall and the Grand Theatre of Rabat designed by Zaha Hadid. Wessal Bouregreg is set to install Rabat as the cultural and entertainment center of the region and drive significant demand for upscale international accommodation”. Wessal Capital CEO Abderrahmane El Ouazzani said “the signing of the management agreement with Hilton is of particular importance to Wessal Capital, being the first of a long line of future hotels that Wessal Capital is developing”.
