A group of hikers have become lost in the Kahurangi National Park. A group of hikers, including children, have been found after they got lost in Kahurangi National Park at the top of the South Island. A police spokeswoman said police were called at 5.25pm on Tuesday after a member of the group contacted someone to say they had become lost near Onekaka. Police arrived at the scene around 5.50pm and the group were found "safe and well" by 7.30pm, the spokeswoman said. It is currently raining and 6 degrees Celsius in the national park.
