I strongly criticise the government for allowing an increase in the prices of 94 life-saving drugs. This decision will not only add to the woes of the general public but also endanger the lives of citizens who are at the precipice of death. It seems that the government is forgetting the fact that the vast majority of the population in Pakistan is poor. Therefore, instead of giving structural relief to the general public, it is apparent that all attempts are being made to further push them into poverty. The government may have many priorities, but giving structural relief to public should come above all else.
