Highway reopens after fatal crash near Queenstown


Photo: Tracey RoxburghState Highway 6 south of Queenstown has reopened after a fatal crash involving a car and a tour bus this morning. Emergency services responded to reports of a car under a bus near the Devil's Staircase at 7.45am. One person in the car, understood to be the driver, died in the crash. Freelance photographer James Allan, who was at the scene, said the crash occurred about 10km south of Jack's Point. The crash comes two days after a person was seriously injured in a head-on collision between two cars on the same stretch of highway.
