A woman was left trapped and seriously injured after a crash near Tauranga. A car and truck collided on the Te Puke Highway, previously named State Highway 2, at Te Puke at 8.30am on Tuesday. Emergency services arrived at the scene between Poplar Lane and Manoeka Road at 8.38am to discover a woman trapped inside her vehicle. "It did not take long to free her from the car and she was transported to Tauranga Hospital.
