■ The Science Carnival (科學玩意節) is tomorrow and Sunday from 9am to 6pm at National Taiwan Science Education Center (國立台灣科學教育館), 189 Shishang Rd, Taipei City (台北市士商路189號). Staff reporterThe fourth annual Science Carnival kicks off tomorrow at the National Taiwan Science Education Center with interactive exhibitions and workshops that teach children about things like Isaac Newton’s Universal Law of Gravitation and Rene Descartes’ Cartesian planes — while having fun, of course. A number of awards are handed out, including “most popular” and “least popular” robots. The Hebocon Robots War (廢柴機器人), where different teams design land and water robots, takes place Sunday at 10am and at 3pm. There’s also a Harvey’s Late Night Bar (哈維的入夜講堂) tomorrow from 4pm to 7pm for those aged 15 and up (because there will be coffee).
