(ANI)Vijayawada: High tension prevailed in Garikapadu Check Post near Andhra Pradesh and Telangana border as the police stopped Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan from entering Vijayawada to meet TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu following his arrest by APCID on Saturday. Though police tried to dissuade Pawan Kalyan from entering Andhra Pradesh citing the possible law and order issues, the actor-turned-politician's convoy proceeded to enter the state. A large number of party supporters also arrived at the check post demanding that PK should be allowed to visit Vijayawada. Earlier, Pawan tried to reach Vijayawada by flight, but the the airport authorities denied permission for the aircraft to take off from Begumpet airport citing the instruction from Krishna district police.
