Police are looking for a black Holden that failed to stop on State Highway 63 on Tuesday. A high speed police chase through rural Marlborough on the first day of alert level three has residents on the lookout for a black Holden. The driver then continued west followed by police, who abandoned the pursuit in Wairau Valley shortly after out of concern for the safety of officers. Sergeant Mike Porter issued a statement on Tuesday morning to say police were looking for a black Holden. Porter said the car was seen near Spy Valley Winery in the Waihopai Valley about midnight on Monday.
