In B.C., all high school sports have been restricted to having modified practices and no games. Kelowna, B.C., high school volleyball player Madison Shanks says recruiting is really important for Grade 12 students. Albertan Dave Wildman, who's been coaching high school volleyball players for 20 years, set up four COVID-rule-abiding events in Alberta and B.C. He was recruited after highlights he posted online attracted the attention of high school coaches there. Some other high school athletes have also managed to get noticed.
