High court should address amnesty issue in its entirety

If the issue is limited for now only to the grant of a TRO, the high court can, perhaps, arrive at a decision more quickly. They are also scheduled to visit the International Court of Justice and meet the Secretary General of the Philippine Court of Arbitration. The Manila Times learned from some sources at the high court that there may be a very slim chance the tribunal will issue a temporary restraining order in favor of Trillanes. It might be better for the high court to decide the matter as a complete body to allow the public to hear the entire court’s opinion, not just the opinion of a segment of it. Further, it will be more useful and enlightening if the high court addresses the amnesty controversy in its entirety, not on a piecemeal basis, so that all issues can be resolved.
