'High chance' of beginning DSE exams on April 24

Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said today there is a high chance of starting the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education examinations on April 24, and expects the Education Bureau to announce the decision in the next few days. She added that the government will enhance anti-epidemic measures for candidates. As for whether to extend the 14-day mandatory quarantine for people entering from the mainland in May, Lam said the government cannot make the decision yet as the epidemic situation is changing every day. She also said the time is not right to relax measures or the previous efforts Hong Kong has done could go in vain.
