An arrest warrant against Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has been lifted. The High Court issued the warrant against Mbugua and county officials Motari Mogusi and Joseph Mbugua following a pay row with former county employees. The former employees' lawyer Brian Otieno told the judge that on October 7, 2016, the court delivered a judgment in favour of the claimants. "The applicants are living in anxiety, distress and uncertainty over failure by the Governor to respect the court," Otieno said.
