Having gone to study climate change and the melting of ice-shelfs in the Antarctic, scientists were left amazed as they discovered something unexpected. A hidden marine world was found thriving under the thick ice sheets, reported The Guardian. The fascinating discovery was made hundreds of kilometres away from the Ross Ice Shelf in the Antarctic. Craig said they had carried out experiments in other parts of the ice shelf earlier but never found something like that. Horgan was studying the Ross Ice Shelf through satellite imagery and noticed a groove in the ice.
