more-inKerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has submitted a ₹300 crore detailed project report (DPR) for setting up hi-tech labs in lower and upper primary schools in the State. The project, announced in this year’s State Budget, would be funded by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board. The project will cover 9,941government and aided LP and UP schools in the State. As part of the project, each LP/UP school would get 2-20 laptops along with USB speakers, 1-10 multimedia projectors, multi-function printer, and 42 inch LED TV and high-speed broadband internet connectivity. The DPR has been prepared taking into account the lessons from the pilot project undertaken by KITE in 189 schools in August last year.
