Former Senior Men’s Canadian National Team member to help lead growth of CEBL expansion teamThe Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League announced Wednesday that Burlington native Brady Heslip has been named General Manager of the league’s expansion club. The 31-year- old also played seven professional seasons in the NBA G League, NBA Summer League, the Bosnian National League, and the Basketball Bundesliga in Germany. “I am honoured and grateful to be appointed general manager of Scarborough’s pro basketball team,” said Heslip. Heslip played for Baylor University from 2011 to 2014 where he averaged 10.1 points in 112 games played while shooting 40 percent from the three-point line. In 15 Bosnian League games for Igokea, Helslip averaged 18.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
