BSF seized over 20-kg heroin and three Pakistan-made live cartridges along the Indo-Pak border in Amritsar. Over 20-kg heroin with a street value of around Rs 100 crore, being smuggled in by Pakistani nationals, and three Pakistan-made live cartridges were seized by BSF on Wednesday along the Indo-Pak border in Amritsar. BSF DIG R S Kataria said the incident took place around 3:30 AM when a night patrol party noticed suspicious movement near the said border outpost along the Indo-Pak border. The BSF personnel immediately rushed to the spot and saw some Pakistani smugglers throwing packets towards the Indian side, he said. The smugglers hurled packets of the drug across the border fence into Indian territory under the Narli border post in Bhikiwind in the wee hours of Wednesday.
