The mum-of-two had gone down to the lake with her eldest son as they enjoyed the sunny weather. He said: “He [her son] went into the water and she followed him. One woman told how a crowd went down to the lake when they spotted the helicopter. The child was swimming in Lough Sheelin – a lake located at a meeting point of counties Westmeath, Meath and Cavan.
