Firefighters from Runcorn Fire Station were called to a blaze in Halton Brook at 3.05pm on Saturday. When they arrived they were confronted by a two-storey house which had a ground floor on fire, Liverpool Echo reported. Photos from the scene show two crew members cradling the cats in towels with breathing masks over their faces. The cats were then taken to the vets after four firefighters in breathing apparatus had extinguished the blaze. "You firefighters are such amazing people and we are so lucky to have you in our lives.”One woman said: “Well done for helping to save the cats!
