An Auckland property owner says a developer has ruined his backyard to make way for a swimming pool and a three-storey house. PHI Construction Ltd refused to directly comment on the dispute but the company's lawyer, Kristine King, said PHI has engaged an external project manager who has met with the couple to discuss concerns. Following media inquiries, Murray Lazelle said PHI has set out a timetable to fix up the backyard. David Living, representing PHI Construction Ltd, agreed to pay $8000 in compensation and landscaping costs.
