The Lok Sabha last Wednesday completed the Budgetary exercise for 2017-18 by passing the Finance Bill 2017 . The Bill also removes the limit on donations.The Bill makes Aadhaar mandatory for getting a PAN card and filing the income-tax return. The government passed the provisions surreptitiously and dishonestly through a money bill which could be voted only in the Lok Sabha where the NDA has a majority. He has also argued that certain non-financial provisions could be included in a money bill. The Lok Sabha Speaker too ruled out objections by the opposition, saying the law allowed inclusion of some non-financial matters in a money bill too.
