Photo: DPAA report released on Monday shows which regions have the youngest average populations in a country that keeps getting older. Between the turn of the 21st century and 2015, Germany’s average age rose by 3.3 years, from 40.6 to 43.9. Below: region by average population age. With average population ages of less than 40 years old, the university towns of Freiburg and Heidelberg were the two youngest areas.
