There are now 100 Fortbytes available, in Fortnite: Battle Royale, which feels somewhat monumental despite at the end of the day just sort of a daily engagement mechanic in a PvP shooter. To start with, you get to put a helmet on your Singularity skin. Non-combat challenges have been a core part of Fortnite's appeal since Season 3, when Epic first introduced location-based weekly challenges like treasure maps, search betweens, gnome hunts and the like. It's a fun compromise, though I do still miss treasure maps. I always wish there were treasure maps.
