In a patch that should go live either today or tomorrow, BioWare will be changing the way “dead inscriptions” appear on Anthem loot. Gear will now drop with inscriptions that are relevant only to the item itself, or to your character overall. I don’t think that’s the case with current drop rates being what they are, but also I think that it depends on a few factors regarding how this is handled. Like no, you simply cannot have a system where inscriptions drop that might as well not exist at all. I don’t think the Masterwork crafting change was necessary.
