The Hunter Museum of American Art (huntermuseum.org) has two temporary exhibits that are only there for a couple more weeks, and both are worth seeing. "Americans weren't painting the American landscape at this time unless it was the American West," says chief curator Nandini Makrandi. The exhibits remain through Jan. 9, and the museum will be open with normal hours except on News Year's Day. Ice on the Landing (iceonthelanding.com) at the Chattanooga Choo Choo is open every day through Jan. 30 with varying hours during the holidays. The 45-minute rides include a 6-mile round-trip ride where you can view of holiday lights at the depot and the North Pole.
