Everywhere you turned, you would have seen the phrase, "The story lives in you." But you might have missed that the phrase's intent is to highlight the relationship between storyteller and audience. The magic doesn't just come from the storyteller; it comes from the interactions between storyteller and audience, and in giving your audience the space to make "your" message his or her own. (Apparently the Hopi Indians read Plato, because others attribute that saying to them.)
