15 May 2024| 06:46am ISTWB native held for stealing gold worth Rs 25 lakhPANJIM: The Calangute Police arrested a person from West Bengal for allegedly stealing four gold biscuits from the house of a 62-year-old woman from Saipem, Candolim. The Calangute Police registered a case under Section 381 and began investigations. During the course of investigations, it was revealed that the accused person is in West Bengal. A team of Calangute Police proceeded to West Bengal and traced the accused person at Panitara village in Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal, and recovered part of stolen property i.e. three gold biscuits weighing 300 gms worth Rs 25 lakh.
